1981 Porsche 911 3.0 SC in Guards Red, 5 speed manual gear box, full black leather interior including sports steering wheel, electric windows, electric seats and electric sunroof.
Car has partial history, lots of receipts. Car has gone through a major overhaul in the last year:
1. Resprayed 2. New carpets 3. New head liner 4. New door seals and window seals 5. New windscreen 6. New battery 7. New alternator 8. Recently MOT'd 9. New sunroof mechanism 10. New engine lid (removed whale tail) 11. New rubber oil cooler lines 12. Spare wheel air pump supplied
Car has standard Fuchs wheels. The car will be supplied with the original engine lid (whale tail) - OK condition. The car needs some further TLC to make great condition.
What is needed to finish is:
1. Rubber trim on front spoiler (had been repaired poorly by previous owner)
2. Ducting to be installed from driver side heat exchanger to fan housing (very cheap to fix, just not got round to it)
3. Gearbox is 915 and has the usual issues with syncromesh. It has been adjusted along with the clutch and is still very strong. This in my mind is a nice to have...£1,500 to overhaul. If I was keeping it, I was not going to change.
4. There is the usual oil leak that disappears through use, the car has been off the road really for the last year. Though when I had the chance to run it Glasgow to Aberdeen and back...didn't miss a beat.
5. There is smoke on start up if she has not been run for a while, but clears up once warm.
All in all, the car needs to be run regularly. I am moving abroad, so it is a shame for the car to be left.
I have spent a mountain of money on it, after the previous owner left it in the rain...wet and dying. There is a small oil leak which is common, and has been looked at by a former Porsche mechanic and says if the car was used more...it would not be an issue.
There i a little surface rust around the sub-frame which you would expect with a car this age. All of the other holes have since been fixed during the last year. A real head turner, don't miss your chance.
The car has a private plate which has been valued at £2,500 plus, and this is included in the sale.
A full workshop manual and parts manual will be included in the sale
£7000 ovno
